Weeks before your surgery
Day before and admission of your surgery
READ THE FOLLOWING STEPS CAREFULLY

One month before, confirm your surgery date with our secretaries.

You must schedule an appointment with your surgeon at least4 weeks before.We will take new 2d and 3d photographs, 3d dental impressions and discuss yourexams yexpectations de treatment.

Remember to have the pass or consultation from your orthodontist or treating colleague.

three weeks beforethe surgeon will take records, review your tests, and explain your surgery in detail

Remember to make your pre-admission at the Redsalud Providencia clinic (hospital procedure in clinic admission so that they explain their administrative processes) two weeks beforeof the scheduled date (the reservation of the date is made by our secretaries). This process is done with our written order. We are absolutely independent from them, our medical team is accredited and we consider it an excellent option to perform your surgery.

The COVID test must be performed exactly two days before your surgery directly at the REDSALUD clinic with the order that we previously gave you. We recommend arriving at 8 AM to avoid long waits.

Remember, prior to your surgery there are 8 hours of fasting, you cannot drink water unless you use some medication and in that case only 5 ml.

The fees of our medical team must be paid directly in our office two weeks beforeof your surgery.

Hospital fees are paid directly after your surgery at Clínica RedSalud Providencia. The reimbursements in your Isapre must be made one month after the operation with the medical program that our secretary will give you signed by the surgeon together with the respective receipts. In the event that the Isapre requests it later, we can make clinical reports if necessary. Reimbursements and procedures must be carried out by each patient, we have no relationship with any Isapre or clinic

GENERAL ANESTHESIA
Please follow these steps carefully before your surgery to help ensure that your procedure runs as smoothly as possible.
Contact your surgeon prior to your surgery date if:

You are unsure of your arrival time at the center on the day of your procedure.

You experience any changes in your health between your most recent visit to your doctor and the day of your procedure, even minor changes such as temperature, cough, cold, loss of smell or taste, or outbreak of cold sores .

You suspect you are pregnant. Anesthesia and medication can be harmful to the developing fetus.
-
If you forgot to mention latex allergy, diabetes, heart conditions, kidney or liver failure.
-
You started a new medical treatment.
After midnight before the day of your surgery
-
Do not smoke after the day of your surgery, ideally not smoke two weeks before.

Do not eat or drink anything 8 hours before, your surgery will likely be postponed (including water, gum, mints, hard candy).

Take a bath or shower and brush your teeth.

Remove all makeup, jewelry, and contact lenses. If you must wear contact lenses, please bring their storage case to use during surgery.

Wear loose, comfortable clothing that can accommodate a bandage, cast, or other type of dressing where the procedure is being done.

You will be asked to have any dentures removed.
What to bring with you on the day of your surgery

Bring all your exams and identity card. It is important for us to have all current and correct information.

You can bring your cell phone, but it will be locked in a locker.

Arrange for a responsible adult to accompany you to the center, receive discharge instructions, and take you home. It is recommended that someone stay with you during the time of your surgery, after which the surgeon will talk with you and you should go home. Visitors cannot be received during the first hours. The day of discharge you will be summoned to accompany you during your departure.

Limit the number of people who accompany you to the clinic.
What not to bring to the surgery center

Please leave all jewelry, cash, valuables, and medications at home. We cannot be responsible for your safety

On the day of surgery you must arrive at the scheduled time. On Saturdays at 7 AM and during the week two hours before the scheduled pavilion time.

You will be admitted to the clinic and we will begin preparing you for your procedure. You will be asked to sign new informed consent forms for your procedure, which acknowledge your permission for the anesthetist, maxillofacial surgeon, and facility to care for you. If the patient is a minor, this form must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.

Remember that everyone must wear a mask, as the place is a hospital, we recommend the use of a new and medical type (not gender).
